Class 3 (Years 5 and 6)

Introduction

Class 3 is made up of pupils in Year 5 and 6. You need to have a good sense of humour in Class 3- we have a lot of fun and often have to ignore Mr Stephens' terrible jokes. We work really hard to balance this fun with developing maturity as learners and we relish the opportunities to work both collaboratively and with increasing independence which helps our Year 6 students make a smooth transition to their secondary education.

Class 3 Staff

Our main teacher is Miss O'Mahony. Miss O'Mahony is new to Coads Green and is very passionate about Tennis an avid Spurs fan, loves animals, in particular cats. We also have a lovely TA, Mrs Budge. Mrs Budge loves chocolate, animals and her daughter, Isabell.

Learning

The breadth of our studies is vast; highlights of the year in Class 3 have included some fascinating learning on the Industrial Revolution and the changes in the school system. We have also enjoyed school trips to Morwellham Quay and Lanhydrock to increase our understanding of the Victorians and travelled to Charmouth fossil hunting as part of our learning on 'Evolution and Inheritance'.
