Farm and Country Show

Class 2 had a fantastic day at the Royal Cornwall Showground for the Farm and Country Days event. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the many interactive exhibits and learning all about Cornish farming and locally produced goods. From meeting farm animals to discovering how crops are grown and harvested, the day was packed with exciting, hands-on learning experiences. A definite highlight for many was sampling some delicious Cornish ice cream and honey — a real treat after a busy day of exploring!

Farm and Country Days is a special educational event held annually in March at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre, designed specifically for Cornish primary schools and children in Years 3 and 4. The event offers a unique opportunity for pupils to understand the journey of food from field to plate. With more than 50 exhibits and the support of over 200 dedicated volunteers, the event has welcomed over 10,000 pupils since it began in 2013. It was a memorable and inspiring experience for Class 2, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
